has now totally removed access for any "social networking" sites, and apparently, any options to actually upload to websites as well, as I couldn't update my blog this past weekend. So I have been on the computer, talking back and forth with my web guy about how to get my computer back up to being able to do that. I am using a different web browser, which is actually allowing me to upload to the blog (yeah), but, as you can see, I still have no access to font, color, etc. We'll work on that next. And yes, that was a user error. :/ Now, to answer your question about throwing in the towel and shutting the site down. NO, I am NOT at that point. But I hope you all will understand that I have trouble writing about mundane, every day life stuff and thinking people actually would be interested in reading about it. Even on FB, for those who friended me, I don't write much, and will even skip days before making a comment on that site as well. Do you understand where I'm coming from? I truly hope so. Now that my computer is back to letting me do a basic upload, I will actually be posting more often. Even if it's just to say hi, my boring, mundane life is still going along! LOL Now, as for my trip to NY, I didn't get back to Seattle until the 13th. The trip was hot, tiring, and I really enjoyed seeing my girl Devi, and finally meeting Ant (his real name is Tristan, but he is small, a hard worker, and very strong, hence his nickname!) I drove a LOT, picking people up at airports and bus stops, and ran many trips between their house, where I stayed, and the campground, where everyone else was, and was also cat and chicken babysitter. I fell in love with the chickens, so much like a group of mumbly old ladies! LOL And collecting eggs after finding where they laid them. And the fireflies were still out! Oh, that is one of the things I truly miss about living in the PNW, we don't have them here. They are so magical and fun to sit and watch at night! I think the thing that has stuck with me the most is that driving into upstate NY, it felt like I was coming home. Do you know what I mean? It was like I belonged there, and it had been waiting for me! It was an odd, yet comforting, feeling. Coming home was nice, especially seeing my cats and my boys, but then I got into a bit of a funk when I got back. VERY tired, and working the weekend when I got back was ROUGH. I didn't feel like I had given myself enough time to recover from the trip. Just exhausted, and probably jet lag, combined with the drastic weather difference just sort of kicked my ass! Just recently getting back to myself, and looking forward to this week off. I turn 1 year older on Friday...well actually it's technically 1 day older on Friday.Yep, I'll stick with that, it sounds better! :) And my friends are dragging the celebrating out for 4-5 days! Plans on Wed. night with a karaoke buddy, then my girl Geens and I are heading up to the Skagit casino for the night on Thursday, since they were nice enough to give me a free night and $50 for slot play. We will meet up with Kristine and Rock for their karaoke show up there and toast in my birthing day at midnight. Then it's back home Friday afternoon to have dinner with my sisters, and then my guy Kailyn is taking me to Portland Saturday, and then game day here at my place all day Sunday, just so we have some hanging out time, and as he has yet to lay his hands on God of War 3....which I have already beaten. ;) Busy few days, but it will be a lot of fun! Okay, off to get food. Mad Eye sends his regards as he chews on my ankles! Good lord, you are not a puppy! Quit gnawing on me like I'm a beef bone! Oh, shoot, that's right! The video of DROMP has had the questionable pictures on the walls blurred out by my tech guy (thanks George!), as yeh, didn't think those would go over so well, so I will be taking a pic of myself and uploading it and the video to Ellen's website TOMORROW!!!! Yeah! Wish me luck! :] Ok, hope everyone is either staying cool, or enjoying the fact that Jul-arch is finally over here in the NW and it looks like summer is here to stay. I was running out of month mixes if I had to go past Aug-pril. BYE! Kari :}~
